Single Digit Countdown

Yesterday my countdown to New York ticked over into single digits. I’ve always known that I want to live in this city, but to be honest with life getting in the way, somedays it felt very long away.

As time is racing by, my last days in New Zealand feel surreal. I have so much to do from changing over my NZ dollars into green bills, putting in my dry cleaning and the scariest to-do of them all; tackling the challenge of packing up my life into two checked in bags. When I stop and think about it, everything is basically annoying little administrative tasks, and I have a very strong desire to just get everything done as soon as possible so I can spend as much time as humanly possible with my beloved friends, family and my puppy Little Jay.

My flight leaves next Friday bound for LAX, and time is definitely not slowing down. To tell you the truth, it’s good to be busy, and it’s great to throw myself into a crazy new adventure.
